Mold manufacturing

Molds are indispensable in many industries, including manufacturing and technology. They are key components used to manufacture finished or semi-finished products, directly affecting the product's durability, precision, and production costs. The selection of raw materials for molds is particularly important, as different materials can have a significant impact on the mold's durability, machinability, and manufacturing process.

Compared to traditional SKD11 cold work tool steel, Chian Yih 's DC53 high-temperature tempered steel overcomes the weaknesses of SKD11 in terms of insufficient hardness and toughness after high-temperature tempering, making it the first choice for manufacturing precision molds.

DC53 high-temperature tempered steel has a heat treatment hardness of up to 62-63 HRC, which is significantly better than SKD11. In terms of wear resistance and toughness, it is twice that of SKD11. After high-temperature tempering, the hardness can effectively reduce the risk of cracks and splits. Molds made using DC53 rarely crack or split.

In addition, the compressive strength, machinability and grindability of DC53 high-temperature tempered steel are far superior to those of SKD11. Under the same conditions, using DC53 die steel can not only increase the service life of the die, but also reduce the processing steps and improve production efficiency. Therefore, DC53 cold work die steel is widely used in many fields such as stamping dies, cold forging dies, and precision stamping dies, providing precision die solutions for various industries.
